Term of Office
I was elected in a 2009 special election to fill an unexpired term. After serving one year, I ran in the 2010 regular election for my first four-year term. I fully intend to run for a second term. Expect to see my yard signs in 2014!
I have proven that I have the necessary combination of professional administration, nonpartisan demeanor, and executive management experience required to be your Auditor. I look forward to continuing to serve you.
Biography
"Julie Anderson is the Pierce County Auditor. Elected in 2009, she is responsible for elections, licensing services, a variety of public records and animal control.
Julie is a highly-organized and determined leader known for excellent communication and the ability solve problems. For over 20 years, Julie has served our community as a nonprofit leader, criminal justice practitioner, and elected official.
Raised in a military family, Julie traveled internationally. She settled in Tacoma 20 years ago and adopted the city as her home town.
Julie’s leisure time is spent soaking up visual arts, creating her own jewelry and print work, and working on her historic home, the old Whitworth College Literary Society Hall.
She’s passionate about increasing women’s participation in the political process."
